Vasanta Navarathri (March 25th thru April 3rd)
What is Vasanta Navaratri? ‘Vasanta’ means ‘Spring’, ‘Nava’ means ‘Nine’ and ‘Ratri’ means ‘Night’. Vasanta Navaratri, or the nine nights of spring fall in the Vedic calendar during the season of Chaitra (Spring).
Spring is the time of rejuvenation, a time of new birth and a joyous season in the whole world. The Divine Mother (Adi Shakti) in one of her countless forms manifests Herself throughout nature as the flowers that blossom and trees that turn green in spring.
Our Vedas give an enormous significance to our earth. Earth is referred to as Mother and as a manifestation of the Adi Shakti. Worshipping and respecting Mother Earth spares us from catastrophes such as land slides, earthquakes, floods, tsunamis or any other natural calamities
The Divine Mother’s transcendent power showers prosperity and joy to all her devotees who pray, and perform poojas and yagyas (the fire ceremony).
Prayers offered to the Mother with humble devotion and sincere gratitude during this auspicious time of Vasanta Navaratri results in manifold benefits for the devotee.
We invite you all to participate (virtually) in these powerful remedial Homas and receive the abundant grace of Mother Adi Shakti so that we may usher in positivity, good health and prosperity in our lives.
